Am I Eligible to Become a Wholesale Trader?

To become a wholesale trader with markets.com, you must fulfil at least one of the below: 

A person/entity who has either: 

  • Net assets of $2.5 million; or
  • Gross income of $250,000 for each of the last 2 financial years. 

A qualified accountant must certify that the person/entity satisfies this criterion, and the certification must be no more than 6 months old. 

*Net assets include the value of property, company, shares, other types of investments and more.

Protections you forfeit

  • Protections offered by ASIC’s product intervention measures, including leverage restrictions. 
  • The requirement to provide the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) or Financial Service Guide (FSG). In cases in which these documents have been already been provided to you, they will no longer apply. 
  • Recourse actions with the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).
